Heavy Machinery Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Machinery Operator to join our team at TIC companies. As a Construction Site Crane Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cranes on construction sites.
About the JobThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with heavy machinery and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be responsible for operating cranes to lift and move materials and other objects, planning all lifts, and taking charge of all safety aspects related to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts.
Responsibilities- Operate crane to lift and move materials and other objects
- Plan all lifts and take complete charge of all safety pertaining to set up and knockdown, operation of crane and proper use of capacity charts
- Perform rigging inspection and daily equipment inspection
- Respond accordingly to both hand and verbal commands from rigger or helpers
- Observe the travel of all loads and take appropriate action to avoid injury to personnel or damage to property
- Read boom angle and drum rotation indicators
- Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity
- Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed
- Maintenance of physical fitness
- Demonstrate a good level of spatial awareness and mental concentration
- Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools, and layout tools as well as measurement tools
- Able to read and comprehend technical documentation, diagrams and drawings
- Abilities that include communication skills, responsibility, teamwork, integrity, adaptability, creativity, self-motivation, initiative
- The ability to withstand the demands of confined spaces, high temperatures, noise levels, vibrations, dust, etc
$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
