Shift Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 5:42 pm - 6:12 am

Job Purpose and Overview

The Industrial Equipment Specialist installs, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, plus a minimum of 2 years of applicable certified technical school training or 2-3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting, electronic circuit diagrams, HVAC, PLCs, stick & tig welding, and forklift repair strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of computers and business software such as Excel and Microsoft Office helpful.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring and electrical components.
  • Installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.
  • Repairs forklifts as needed.
  • Fabricates and repairs new or used equipment or machines.
  • Ensures that all repairs and preventative maintenance are done in compliance with GMPs, IFS standards, and SOPs to ensure food safety.
  • Assists the Quality and Production teams in troubleshooting maintenance issues that may impact food safety or personnel safety.
  • Logs work hours in the CMMS system.

Physical Demands & Work Requirements

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • The employee must be able to work with a wide array of hand and precision tools.
  • The temperature fluctuates with the season, being colder during winter and warmer during summer.
  • Work includes both indoor and outdoor work, working around heavy machinery.
  • Hearing protection is required in the production area.

Estimated Salary: $35.08/hour + $0.50/hour shift differential.
