Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavior Therapist to join our team at Centria Autism. As a Behavior Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to children with ASD, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior, and summarize findings to inform treatment decisions.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training, ensuring they are equipped to support their child's progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders regarding client progress and treatment plans.
  • Ensure a safe and organized therapy environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or be willing to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT exam within 45 days of employment.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Reliable transportation and, in some cases, proof of driver's license and valid car insurance may be required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, as well as a TB test if not previously completed within the past year.
  • Ability to physically perform the job requirements, including getting down on the floor and standing up frequently, lifting up to 50 pounds, and running/moving quickly if necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
  • Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions.
  • Strong understanding of technology, including data recording on mobile devices and navigating digital applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong cultural competency, with the ability to remain flexible and open-minded.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working as a Behavioral Technician, in a role related to children with autism or other learning disabilities, or in a similar capacity.
