Job Overview

The Clinical Specialist, Cardiothoracic position plays a critical role in providing strategic account management, expertise, and support for Getinge Cardiac Assist products in a designated geographical area.

This role involves customer training and education on our responsible product portfolio, including supporting product evaluations. The position collaborates with the implementation team to ensure successful client outcomes and indirectly sells and promotes Getinge Cardiac Surgery products within the defined geographic territory.

The territory will focus on San Antonio, Houston, Austin, and Dallas, but may require support for the Texas Region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a key business partner to clients in the field, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  2. Develop and understand Business Plans for assigned geographic territory.
  3. Develop relationships with hospital personnel to make new contacts in other departments within the hospital.
  4. Proactively understand customer needs and develop creative solutions or work with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
  5. Support the needs of the client, including product demonstrations, in-services, case support, and product complaints.
  6. Identify types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel.
  7. Observe actual procedures within varying departments of hospital accounts to gain insight into the specific nuances of each physician and clinical staff.
  8. Support in-services and staff training on assigned products.
  9. Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products.
  10. Establish and maintain a business climate that fosters positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and all Getinge personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum combined 5 years of applicable clinical experience in a Hospital environment and/or sales support, including product education and training.
  • Valid driver's license.
