What We Expect:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing guests with engaging and detailed descriptions of food and beverage menu items, including their origins, flavors, and preparation methods; accurately relaying guest orders, including any special requests, to the kitchen using the hotel's point-of-sales system; coordinating food timing; verifying completed kitchen orders against the guest's original order; and delivering items to the guest's table promptly to ensure optimal food quality.
- Anticipating guest needs, assessing satisfaction, offering suggestions, and responding promptly and appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns.
- Accurately processing guest checks; handling cash and credit card transactions; and properly managing voided checks or complimentary meals.
- Setting up, breaking down, and cleaning tables, buffets, and food stations.
- Adhering to Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as outlined in Impact.
- Collaborating harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ensuring all staff side-work is completed at the end of each shift.
- Conducting hand-over procedures at the end of shifts.
- Addressing basic guest concerns effectively.
- Regularly conducting standards training sessions.
- Leading pre-shift meetings.
- Ensuring new employees complete their orientation and training.
- Co-facilitating monthly departmental meetings.
- Maintaining adequate supplies and equipment in the department.
- Providing constructive feedback to staff members who are not meeting performance standards.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a luxury food and beverage environment.
- Excellent proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- The ability to carry and balance a tray with multiple items.
- Strong skills in processing cash, room charges, and credit card transactions accurately.
- Effective communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
- Hourly Rate: $16.00
