About the Role
The Nursing Professional Development Specialist - Unit Based will be responsible for operationalizing tools, theories, skills, and knowledge of nursing professional development to improve evidence-based practice among nursing staff on assigned units/departments. This role assumes various responsibilities, including learning facilitation, change management, mentoring, leadership, championing scientific inquiry, advocating for NPD specialty, and partnering for practice transitions.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in Nursing is required.
- A PhD in Nursing, DNP, or ARNP is preferred.
- A Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN) is required.
- ANCC NPD specialty certification is preferred; if not acquired at hire, it must be obtained within two years.
- A minimum of four years of acute care nursing practice experience is required.
- Minimum three years of program management experience within an education role are preferred.
- Minimum three years of previous experience as a unit educator, system educator, NPD Specialist/Generalist are preferred.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $107,432 - $179,067 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
