The Deputy Director will provide strategic leadership in the planning and execution of all training programs, seminars, workshops, and meetings for the California Center for Population Research (CCPR). This role will ensure the Faculty Directors have adequate executive assistance and support, and manage space and resources for the Center.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement training programs, seminars, workshops, and meetings to support the CCPR mission
- Provide executive assistance and support to Faculty Directors
- Manage space and resources for the Center
- Collaborate with staff, faculty, and external stakeholders to achieve CCPR goals
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization
- 5 years of experience in program management
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with computer software and hardware, including Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Working knowledge of University policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of financial management principles
- Knowledge of UCLA platforms, such as JDXpert and iCIMS
- Skill in interpreting and comprehending new regulations
- Skill and sensitivity in HR management and interpersonal relations
- Bachelor's Degree in a related area or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation
- Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment
