Key Responsibilities:As a Clinical Counseling Associate, you will:
- Participate in comprehensive training and observational experiences to attain essential competencies.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing personal, academic, and vocational needs.
- Facilitate educational workshops and conduct psychological assessments.
- Engage in developmental and crisis counseling, including couples counseling and evaluations for students considering withdrawal.
- Contribute to outreach programming, evolving from delivery to content creation.
- Consult with faculty, staff, and parents regarding student welfare.
- Offer evaluations and recommendations for students facing academic and conduct issues.
- Participate in after-hours on-call duties and evening office hours as required.
- Engage in case consultations and fulfill general administrative tasks.
This role may also involve supervising and training graduate students, along with program evaluation responsibilities.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in a mental health-related field, with eligibility for LCMHCA or LCSWA.
- A demonstrated commitment to providing informed and responsive services.
- Prior clinical experience, including training.
- Strong skills in crisis assessment and management.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
Experience within a University Counseling Center is advantageous, particularly for candidates who are generalists and have a strong interest in outreach and group work.
Licensure Requirements:Candidates must hold or be eligible for LCMHCA or LCSWA licensure.
Work Environment:This position is integral to a collaborative team dedicated to enhancing student success through compassionate and evidence-based care.
