Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our patients are met. Your primary function will be to lead the processes in place to provide personalized nutrition care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients to identify their nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Assess, plan, write, and evaluate patient diets to ensure they meet their nutritional requirements.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on dietary restrictions and recommendations to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Direct and supervise personnel in the planning, preparation, and serving of food to patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient reactions to prescribed diets and make adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize knowledge of age-specific needs of patients to perform duties and responsibilities effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility, preferably in a Clinical Dietitian role.
  • Current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) certification.
  • Current State Certified Dietitian (SCD) certification.
  • New graduates must pass the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 30 days of the start date.
