Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all facets of Nuclear Medicine imaging, operating independently without direct physician oversight.
  • Manage the acquisition, processing, preparation, and transmission of complex diagnostic images for interpretation by Nuclear Medicine physicians.
  • Provide care to adult patients aged 19-65 and geriatric patients over 65, ensuring tailored support based on their unique needs.
  • Generate and deliver a comprehensive image data set that effectively addresses the clinical inquiries posed by referring physicians.
  • Conduct procedures involving the creation of organ distribution maps following the administration of radioactive materials to patients.
  • Daily setup and calibration of imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability prior to patient studies.
  • Oversee patient preparation, data acquisition, processing, and analysis, ensuring accurate transmission to the core facility.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited training program for Technologists.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT (N)).
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of documented clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine Imaging within a Level 1 hospital environment.
  • Recent clinical work experience within the past year is required.
  • Previous experience within the VA system is preferred.
  • No sponsorship is available for this position.
Compensation: $90.00 per hour

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach overhead throughout the work shift.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Competent in carrying up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Ability to push/pull with a force of 30 lbs.
