Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Turnaround Planner/Mechanical Specialist to join our team at PTS Advance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating mechanical activities for refinery turnarounds, ensuring safe and cost-effective execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Turnaround Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive job plans, schedules, and estimates for mechanical activities, including resource allocation and material management.
  • Coordination and Interface: Collaborate with multiple disciplines and departments to ensure accurate and complete job plans, and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
  • Estimation and Cost Control: Identify and manage resources, costs, and materials for job tasks, and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
  • Field Execution and Verification: Confirm field verification and dimensional checks on in-kind equipment replacements to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Vendor Management: Obtain estimates and schedule confirmations from external service vendors, and ensure compliance with refinery safety and environmental regulations.
  • Material Management: Ensure ordered material is received in a timely manner, and update SAP with proper material receipt.
  • Event Estimate Development: Contribute to event estimate development at various stages of the turnaround process, from scope optimization through final detailed estimate.
  • Training and Development: Coach less experienced contract planning personnel to ensure quality deliverables and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years industrial maintenance/turnaround/construction experience, with a minimum of 5 years of Turnaround planning experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Highly skilled in planning and estimating of refinery Maintenance/Turnaround work scope, with proven ability to deliver quality work, coach others, and continuously improve the process.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of refinery operations, craft knowledge, refinery instrumentation, electrical and rotating equipment, and safe work practices.
