While our headquarters are located in Arizona, our team is strategically distributed across the country to actively support our election partners.

Summary: The Web Press Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of T230 and T240 Web Presses. This role involves conducting quality assessments and performing various tasks as needed, depending on workload and delivery timelines. It is crucial for the Web Press Technician to deliver high-quality, detailed output in accordance with established standards and procedures, ensuring precision and consistency in production.

Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to):

  • Engage with the supervisor daily to discuss schedules, job progress, and tasks.
  • Interpret job tickets and accurately document product counts and production times in the shop floor data system.
  • Set up and operate machinery:
  • Adjust and monitor machine calipers to guarantee the quality of the final product.
  • Replace and modify trimmer knives as necessary.
  • Inspect components and identify those requiring replacement.
  • Maintain print registration, color matching, inks, varnishes, and coatings.
  • Continuously assess the quality of the finished product.
  • Oversee general maintenance and lubrication of the machinery.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in the web press area.
  • Familiarize oneself with all aspects of the job finishing sheet.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE, ergonomics, and chemical hazards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Maintain production records and charts.
  • Train new staff members.
  • Guide the machine crew during production and downtime.
  • Provide leadership as needed.
  • Offer input to the supervisor for performance evaluations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete ongoing training concepts and applications.
  • Embody the Runbeck values in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education/Skills/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Web Press equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and color spectrometers preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
