About the Role

The Port St. Lucie Surgery Center is seeking a highly skilled Infection Control Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a sterile environment by cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in sterilization methods, high-level disinfection, and biological testing.
  • Monitor and record test loads and sterilization cycles, documenting any deviations from normal functioning.
  • Accurately log equipment out for repair and maintain records of efficacy tests.
Requirements:
  • One year experience in surgical instrument sterilization processing or a related field.
  • BCLS certification upon employment (online certification not accepted).
  • Certification and knowledge of AAMI and ASHCSP standards.
