Job Summary

This position performs a variety of dynamic nuclear medicine examinations, adhering to established protocols for gathering the desired history and other imaging studies. Under the direct guidance of the radiologist and radiation safety officer, the individual administers therapeutic doses. The role requires accurately preparing the exam room and tray setup for procedures, producing high-quality diagnostic scans, and communicating effectively with other staff and physician offices to ensure accuracy in order information and foster a collaborative atmosphere.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Indiana and registered by the NMTCB or ARRT within two years of employment.
  • Experience in a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
  • CPR certification or must obtain at next available class upon hire.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Candidates will be registered by the NMTCB (NMT) or ARRT (N).
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with patients and their families and guests, co-workers, managers, Hospital Administrators, providers, consultants, business associates, and regulatory agencies, presenting a professional image as a representative of Marion General Hospital.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to carry out duties in a professional manner, as well as the ability to work well under stress.
  • Developed computer skills and the ability to learn and proficiently perform computer applications related to department operations and job function.
  • Excellent customer service skills with special emphasis on patient-centered care.

  • Ability to be discreet and protect the integrity of any confidential matter or information encountered during the performance of job duties.
Working Conditions
  • Typical hospital clinical environment with frequent standing and walking.
