Job Overview

Wieland Group is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team in a 3rd shift role. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and manufacturing commercial and industrial HVAC heat exchangers.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reading, interpreting, and working from mechanical prints, schematics, bills of material, routing sheets, and other written, electronic, or verbal instructions.
  • Working with various raw and synthetic materials, processes, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Operating various tools and equipment to assemble, paint, braze, test, handle, manipulate, and move components, assemblies, and final products.
  • Using measuring and testing devices as well as visual inspection to ensure quality of product and conformity of prints, work instructions, and standards.
  • Maintaining required miscellaneous records.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in an industrial environment.
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • A Power Industrial Truck license and usage.
  • The ability to perform work in various physical positions, including standing, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching, and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to work in a medium industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, climbing ladders/stairs, and working in cramped quarters.
  • The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, including hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, and respirator if required.
  • Close vision, distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Steadiness of arms and hands and make coordinated movements.
  • The ability to read text, process, and understand its meaning.
  • The ability to gather and retrieve information effectively.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines/tools and their uses and maintenance.
