Job Overview

ProSidian Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Construction Discipline Engineer to join our team. As a Construction Discipline Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and support to field construction activities within a specified discipline.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Review design output and vendor documents for constructability and compliance with procedures and codes.
  • Verify design constructability, including procedure and code compliance, and verify field conditions versus design output.
  • Verify material availability and submit constructability comments.
  • Track comments to resolution and support project team design review meetings.
  • Develop and expedite bills of materials (BOMs) and track the progress/status of material delivery.
  • Coordinate delivery of material to the field and verify received material versus ordered material.
  • Develop work execution plans, including job-specific hazards analysis, and generate work instructions.
  • Support/lead team hazard analysis review meetings and generate or support the generation of job-specific permits as required.
  • Attend/chair execution plan review meetings and develop routing lists for hazards analysis and work plan approval.
  • Coordinate and expedite work package approval routing and disposition comments to the work execution plan.
  • Assemble approved work execution plans and provide status and updates in the SRS work control passport system.
  • Lead pre-job briefings with craft workers, perform task-ready walk-downs with craft supervision, and verify quantities of installed commodities.
  • Coordinate daily field support, expedite/order material as required, and coordinate material testing.
  • Perform field inspections, identify and coordinate resolution of field installation issues, and generate design completion notices.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a specified discipline of engineering and at least 5 years of practical experience in construction field engineering. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a specified discipline of engineering and 5-10 years of practical experience in construction field engineering, or a High School diploma and 10+ years of practical experience in construction field engineering.

The candidate must possess a valid driver's license and have a personal vehicle with valid registration and insurance. Previous experience with generating work execution plans, preferably utilizing the Asset Suite work control system, and generating job hazards analysis is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of discipline-specific codes and standards and be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. They will also have the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.

Additional Requirements

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license. Personal vehicles operated by the candidate must have valid registration and insurance. The standard work week is Monday through Thursday, 6:30am - 5:00pm, with a 10-hour workday and four days per week schedule.
