Plant Operations Director

The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the operational excellence of our Kimberton, PA plant, ensuring the effective management of manufacturing processes and physical facilities. This includes accountabilities for all products manufactured, safety performance, product quality and quantity, personnel hiring and discipline, training, budgeting, shipping, and receiving, cost control and reduction, and developing a strong team environment with clear and effective communications.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a manufacturing team to provide exceptional customer service by providing the required quantities of products at the lowest possible cost and highest quality while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, including orderly housekeeping, adequate inventory turns, throughput time reduction, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
- Manage inventory control, releasing raw materials, supplies, and finished goods, and implementing an inventory audit procedure to ensure accurate inventories.
- Create an environment for success among supervisory and production employees, conveying a positive and confident attitude, and directing staff to achieve their highest level of performance.
- Interact with various company departments, including purchasing, environmental, health & safety, engineering, human resources, and corporate staff.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing position or one closely associated with plant operations.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or business-related area, such as accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to handle stress, and make decisions under challenging circumstances.
