Job Description

At Apple Ice, we are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Equipment Service Professional to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance and emergent work on refrigeration systems, including ammonia and freon systems.
  • Design, install, and commission new systems to meet the needs of our manufacturing and storage facilities.
  • Train plant personnel on daily routines and oversee the PSM/ARM program at each facility.
  • Maintain safe systems that minimize costs and maximize quality of finished goods.
  • Ensure electrical and mechanical maintenance of refrigeration assets meets local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Maintain appearance of refrigeration assets and surrounding areas.
  • Manage records related to systems, including inspections, repairs, and management of change.
  • Continuously strive to improve processes and implement best practices across the enterprise.
  • Maintain and manage spare parts, standardizing components when possible.
  • Present yourself as a professional, being on time, attentive to detail, and a self-starter with an enthusiastic work ethic.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7-year experience in electrical or mechanical role in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel to attend company-paid training classes and pass certification tests.
  • Daily travel to company facility locations to perform duties.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English is a plus but not required.
  • Able to stand, climb, squat for majority of work day.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to withstand various working temperatures and conditions.
