Position Overview

The individual in this role will be tasked with providing essential support and collaborating with the engineering team to comprehend requirements and formulate as well as execute testing strategies for new software enhancements.

  • Oversee and implement the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLS) - including requirements analysis, test planning, test case creation, environmental setup, test execution, and test cycle closure.
  • Develop test cases, scenarios, and plans based on the enhancement requirements.
    • Conduct all test plans to verify that the newly developed software meets the requirements and is stable for production deployment.
    • Perform Regression, Functional, Performance, Usability, and User Acceptance testing based on documented specifications.
    • Document and monitor defects, collaborating with the Product Manager to ensure issues are resolved and retested.
    • Engage in Sprint Planning and Story Pointing sessions to provide estimates on testing risks and complexities.
    • Thoroughly document all test plans and results in JIRA.
    • Diagnose software bugs and assist users with support inquiries.
    • Create training materials for new software releases.
    • Stay informed about new testing methodologies and best practices.
    • Compile and distribute weekly IT reports detailing accomplishments.
Qualifications:
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in software testing within an agile framework.
  • 1-2 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, customer support, or account management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree or a combination of industry certifications and relevant work experience totaling 2 years or more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks effectively.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze issues and propose solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to identify optimal business solutions.
  • Intermediate experience in writing SQL queries is preferred.

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience, and skills.
