Position Overview:
Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is actively seeking a Senior Underwriter for Construction Professional Liability to enhance our construction division. This role can be based in our Philadelphia office or performed remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite both new and renewal accounts with a focus on complex assignments, ensuring compliance with The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients while managing a designated territory and fostering robust relationships with brokers.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
- Alternatively, High School Diploma or Equivalent with 10 years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 3 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 8 years in Claims or Underwriting Support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under time constraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- In-depth knowledge of the Construction Professional Liability sector.
- Established relationships with brokers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Compensation:
Compensation at Zurich varies based on multiple factors including office location, role, skill set, and experience level. The salary range for this position is between $115,000 and $165,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside this range are encouraged to apply and will be evaluated based on their experience, skills, and education.
