Key Responsibilities- Hiring and management of departmental faculty and staff
- Promoting the success and career progression of faculty, staff, and students
- Management of the department's fiscal resources and facilities
The successful candidate will have a strong record of achievement in scholarly work and professional or graduate education, as well as evidence of effective leadership and communication skills. A DVM (or equivalent) or PhD is required, and the candidate must be qualified for hire at the rank of tenured Professor.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualifications include an advanced graduate degree (MS or PhD), board certification in an appropriate veterinary specialty, or evidence of the study of animal populations.
