Your Role and Responsibilities
  • The 'IBM Ecosystem' encompasses a vast network of partners who 'Develop', 'Market', or 'Support' IBM technologies and platforms.
  • As a Partner Engagement Specialist (Territory), your objective is to connect essential technical, co-marketing, and go-to-market resources with your designated partners to collaboratively enhance prospecting, opportunity recognition, and solution development. By synchronizing territory planning, demand generation, lead management, and sales execution with IBM partners, you will increase revenue in your assigned portfolio by amplifying your partners' 'Market' activities.
  • By directly engaging with partners and their clients to support high-value initiatives and opportunities, you will enrich partner and client interactions with IBM's extensive capabilities, aligning sales strategies with offering capability roadmaps and shaping solutions that support brand-specific business objectives.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Expertise in Technology Partner Sales Offerings: Proven ability to build and market technology partner sales offerings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IBM's Systems Solutions (Power, Storage, Cloud).
  • A successful track record of co-selling with Business Partners.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and relationship-building across all levels with colleagues, partners, and clients.
  • A consistent history of achieving targets collaboratively, showcasing high performance, and motivating self and others to deliver results.
  • Experience within the Ecosystem.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • General knowledge of IBM's competitive advantages and the positioning of competitors in the marketplace.
  • Proven experience in prospecting, deal progression, and quota achievement in one or more of the following software solutions: Maximo, Tririga, Engineering, Sterling Order Management, Sterling Data Exchange for B2B.
  • A strong understanding of IBM's product suite.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increments and frequency will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws.

This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunities will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as outlined in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable law.
