About the Role

CoolSys is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Installation Lead to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for leading, training, and mentoring project crews, prioritizing and delegating responsibilities, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical resource on assigned projects, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Report on job status and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Control job costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe behavior, including vehicle safety, by all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, and other relevant areas.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or a related industry/trade.
  • Must have commercial HVAC Foreman experience.
  • Must be willing to travel and work nights.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours.
  • Ability to organize tasks, use good judgment in making work assignments, and give clear instructions and guidance as needed.
  • Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed.
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and ensure compliance with Safety policies.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, track record of punctuality and dependability, and ability to use computer tools including email, word, and project planning software.
