Overview:
As a Housekeeping Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our guests, associates, and vendors while providing guidance and support to the housekeeping team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the housekeeping personnel, ensuring effective communication, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to maximize productivity.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and manage performance reviews, while addressing issues and recommending disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Inspect and supervise the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards for optimal cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Delegate tasks to staff, considering special requests and priority areas to facilitate smooth housekeeping operations.
  • Distribute supplies to staff at the start of shifts to manage inventory and ensure availability while controlling costs.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a log of lost and found items and respond to inquiries to ensure proper tracking and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement emergency protocols and training to safeguard the hotel, guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Perform any additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capability to navigate the building, bend, stoop, and assist other staff members as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adjust communication style for different audiences.
