Academic Advisor Position

Pima Community College is seeking a highly skilled Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping students achieve their academic goals and succeed in their academic pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students, helping them set and achieve their academic goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized academic plans to ensure students are on track to meet their degree requirements.
  • Conduct new student orientations, group advisory sessions, and other events to promote student success.
  • Network with industry and educational leaders to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in student development theory.
  • Meet with students individually to discuss their academic progress, provide guidance, and address any concerns they may have.
  • Analyze student data to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to support student success.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • One to three years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Three to five years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
