Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our products and services. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position involves investigating quality-related issues and facilitating corrective measures. The specialist acts as a key liaison between customers and suppliers, addressing concerns regarding quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the advanced product quality planning process for new initiatives.
  2. Develop and implement protocols for inspection standards, engineering modifications, product evaluations, and other quality-related functions.
  3. Supervise quality technicians and coordinate all quality-related activities.
  4. Assess proposed modifications in design, processes, and materials against existing specifications.
  5. Investigate quality issues and coordinate corrective actions, ensuring effective communication with customers and suppliers regarding solutions.
  6. Assist suppliers in enhancing their quality systems to achieve better quality and cost efficiency.
  7. Maintain customer communication regarding any issues, design challenges, and countermeasures, ensuring clear documentation.
  8. Review technical literature to explore the application of innovative methods and equipment.
  9. Analyze reliability and quality metrics through statistical methods.
  10. Complete and document all stages of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process.
  11. Prepare and submit necessary documentation in accordance with industry guidelines.
  12. Develop gauge concepts and procure necessary gauges for specific projects.
  13. Collaborate with component and tooling suppliers to enhance products and resolve manufacturing challenges, which may involve travel.
  14. Engage in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT's) to foster collaboration.
  15. Participate in internal audits as required to ensure compliance.
  16. Provide training to Quality and Production personnel on quality requirements related to specific projects.
  17. Support the Product Introduction Process throughout all phases of prototype development and delivery.

Shift: 1st shift (Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with a statistical background or be a certified quality or reliability engineer through A.S.Q.C. Additionally, 3 to 5 years of experience in quality control or assurance is required.
