Job Summary

The Clinical Nutrition Manager II is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all patient/resident nutrition care activities. This role requires a strong understanding of nutrition care principles, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-effective, profit-generating nutrition programs
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement nutrition care plans
  • Establish and maintain policies, standards, and programs for optimal, cost-effective nutrition care
  • Coordinate and direct all clinical activities, including determining and implementing appropriate staffing levels
  • Develop and implement education programs for facility staff, including nursing, pharmacy, medical, and surgical residents
  • Engage in and encourage staff participation in research, submit to professional publications, and participate in professional and community lectures
  • Maintain registration status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure through the state board
Requirements
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a clinical dietitian
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with coursework accredited or approved by the appropriate nutrition and dietetics agencies
  • Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements by the appropriate accredited local agencies
  • Formal eligibility to practice dietetics in the geographic location where applicable
