About the Job

DLP Staffing is currently accepting applications for the position of General Laborer.

Job Summary

The General Laborer will be responsible for performing physical activities that require considerable use of their arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. The ideal candidate will have effective interpersonal and communication skills, be able to understand written and verbal communications, and be able to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
  • Move materials, equipment, or supplies.
  • Receive information or instructions for performing work assignments.
  • Review work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures.
  • Adjust, connect, or disconnect wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand or power tools.
  • Assemble and maintain physical structures, using hand or power tools.
  • Transfer tools, parts, equipment, and supplies to and from workstations and other areas.
Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull, and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.
Working Conditions

The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment, involving physical work.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • High School Diploma or GED
