Job Summary
We are seeking a Finish and Adhesive Tech. Trainee to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with chemicals and adhesives daily, ensuring a safe and efficient production process.
- Develop and teach others how to apply, mix, and use various materials and chemicals.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize shoe manufacturing processes.
- Learn and apply different adhesives and chemicals for shoe application, upper, and sole application.
- Participate in quality control measures to ensure high-quality products.
- Travel to Acuna, Mexico, when necessary to support international operations.
Requirements
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to take on new challenges.
- A mature, cooperative, and responsible individual with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
- Meet or exceed expectations in all PDQCS categories.
- Highly motivated and able to follow instructions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Physical Demands
- Physical labor required for 8 hours or more per day, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work with hazardous and non-hazardous materials using proper protective equipment.
- Excellent vision to inspect product quality.
Education and Experience
- Experience in shoemaking/manufacturing and production facilities.
- A strong interest or passion for manufacturing and long-term development in the shoe manufacturing industry.
