Job Summary

We are seeking a Finish and Adhesive Tech. Trainee to join our team in San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with chemicals and adhesives daily, ensuring a safe and efficient production process.
  • Develop and teach others how to apply, mix, and use various materials and chemicals.
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize shoe manufacturing processes.
  • Learn and apply different adhesives and chemicals for shoe application, upper, and sole application.
  • Participate in quality control measures to ensure high-quality products.
  • Travel to Acuna, Mexico, when necessary to support international operations.

Requirements

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to take on new challenges.
  • A mature, cooperative, and responsible individual with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Meet or exceed expectations in all PDQCS categories.
  • Highly motivated and able to follow instructions.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Physical Demands

  • Physical labor required for 8 hours or more per day, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work with hazardous and non-hazardous materials using proper protective equipment.
  • Excellent vision to inspect product quality.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in shoemaking/manufacturing and production facilities.
  • A strong interest or passion for manufacturing and long-term development in the shoe manufacturing industry.
