Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator/Stationary Engineer PRN to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our hospital's power plant operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment, including boilers, air conditioning systems, and exhaust fans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, repair, and maintain boilers, chiller systems, and other equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including plumbing, welding, and HVAC tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system components, including pumps, motors, traps, valves, regulators, and other equipment.
  • Ensure all electrical feeds to equipment are connected correctly and verify proper voltage and amperages.
  • Operate and maintain emergency and standby systems to ensure readiness.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and safety tests on equipment and systems according to established procedures and schedules.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must maintain a 1st class City of Sioux City, IA. Hydronic Engineer's license or be able to obtain within 4 months of employment.
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to perform tasks normally associated with at least two of the traditional building trade groups and work at those tasks with effectiveness, speed, and quality of work as per established industry standards.
