Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse - Preoperative / PACU to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services and standards of practice in accordance with level of experience and education, state board of nursing, and established policies and procedures.
  • Integrate the art, science, leadership, and knowledge of nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical, and respectful direct and indirect healthcare services.
  • Participate as a team member of the total perioperative process and care for patients.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment.
    • Valid driver's license where required by assignment.
  • Additional Qualifications (nice to have):
    • Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to clinical nursing practice specialty area.
  • Highly Preferred:
    • ACLS certification.
    • Ambulatory Surgery Experience.
  • Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions:
    • Exposure to conditions which may be considered unpleasant to sight, touch, sound, and/or smell.
    • Occasional exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, and gases, biohazards/hazards.
    • Occasional exposure to or subject to noise, infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
    • Occasional exposure to interruptions, shifting priorities, and stressful situations.
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion, understand and relate to complex ideas/concepts, remember multiple tasks and regimens over long periods of time, and work on concurrent tasks/projects.
  • Ability to read small print, hear sounds and voice/speech patterns, give/receive instructions, and other verbal communications (in-person and/or over the phone/computer/device/equipment assigned) with some background noise.
  • Perform manual dexterity activities and/or grasping/handling.
  • Occasional ability to climb, kneel, crouch, and/or operate foot controls.
  • Use a computer/other technology.
  • Sit with the ability to vary/adjust physical position or activity.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and use available personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Comply with Trinity Health's Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to provide assistance in the event of an emergency.
Requirements
