Overview

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to promote patient safety and comfort, including pain management and wound care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care and safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • One year of experience in preoperative or PACU nursing required.
  • Current state licensure to practice nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
