Job Summary

As a key member of our team at Betacom, the Tower Foreman will oversee and perform construction duties on a daily basis on telecommunication sites. This individual will supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete the scope of work assigned, ensuring timely and safe project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Lead and direct a crew of 2-4 members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
  • Employee Development: Recommend hiring, firing, and training of employees, as well as employee advancements, compensation, promotions, and other status changes.
  • Project Execution: Understand and execute the scope of work (SOW), method of procedures (MOP), and practices to perform assigned jobs or projects.
  • Material Management: Coordinate with the Superintendent or Construction Manager to determine materials, equipment, and tools required for assigned projects.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with company and customer safety requirements, inspecting tools and rigging gear to ensure safe use.
  • Communication: Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and regulatory personnel.
  • Problem-Solving: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to resolve issues and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Four years or more of related tower and construction experience and/or training.
  • Skills: Good communication, reading, and writing skills (English); good computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook); and basic hand tool, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment knowledge.
  • Certifications: ComTrain, OSHA30, RF Awareness Training, and First AID/CPR training.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear; occasionally required to sit; regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Regularly works near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, and in outside weather conditions, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold.
