Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering to join our faculty team at South Dakota Mines. This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position that may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon performance, department need, funding, and student enrollment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate ME 351 Mechatronics course and its accompanying laboratory
  • Teach additional in-person courses such as dynamic systems, controls, design, machines, or robotics (optional)
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Prior teaching experience at the university or college level and engineering experience in industry or government (ideal)
