Job Title: Staff Accountant

About the Role:
The Staff Accountant plays a vital role in the Accounting department, responsible for creating and keying journal entries, reconciling and maintaining records of daily cash receipts, and compiling all statistics. As a member of the team, the Staff Accountant performs all activities according to the general accepted accounting principles. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting regulatory requirements and guidelines, as well as the ability to provide quality, efficient information on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter cash receipts, statistics, and journal entries into the PeopleSoft system.
  • Reconcile and maintain records of daily cash receipts.
  • Compile all statistics in the Accounting department.
  • Assist with audits as requested by the Controller or Internal Audit.
  • Participate in all education and/or safety requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements:
  • Four-year degree in Accounting is required.
  • Three years of experience is required.
  • Experience in computer data entry is required.
  • Proficient in using spreadsheet applications, preferably in Excel.

Work Environment:
This position is a day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. No on-call or weekend work is required. Great benefits are offered, including a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
