Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Specialist to join our team at TIH Insurance. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering welfare benefits and retirement plans, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and providing expert guidance to HR Business partners and teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult and provide expert guidance to HR Business partners and teammates on health and welfare, and retirement benefits.
  • Work independently to manage day-to-day operations, staying abreast of legal and benefit plan requirements.
  • Interpret and administer benefit plans and policies, ensuring adherence to federal and state laws and internal guidelines.
  • Process full range of benefit plan transactions, including data entry, reconciliation, and payment.
  • Manage leave of absence requests and processes, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits and leave, providing support for Workday system administration and reporting.
  • Draft and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for benefit processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, 5+ years of experience in administering welfare benefits and/or retirement plans.
  • Prior Workday experience is preferred.
