AI Solutions Lead

Vaco is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Lead to oversee AI projects from initial concept through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • AI Project Management: Develop and deliver training programs that instruct users on best practices for effectively leveraging AI technologies, including prompt engineering and enhancing user interactions for reliable outputs.
  • AI Solution Development: Create educational materials and campaigns aimed at teaching users how to utilize AI tools efficiently while minimizing errors.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with attorneys to identify and explore opportunities for AI to enhance legal service delivery.
  • AI Tool Evaluation: Partner with the Chief Practice Innovation Officer, Chief Information Technology Officer, and Director of Legal Service Delivery to evaluate AI tools and solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Design and implement a framework for evaluating and onboarding AI tools, establishing standard processes for their assessment.
  • Communication and Liaison: Actively participate in AI service delivery groups across the firm, contributing insights and strategies.
  • User Support: Serve as a liaison between users and developers to refine AI tools by creating compelling use cases and facilitating user training sessions.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and monitor metrics to assess the performance and impact of AI solutions, continuously optimizing applications for improved results.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in AI.
  • Case Studies and Presentations: Prepare case studies that highlight AI successes and create presentations for attorneys and firm leadership about AI initiatives.
  • AI On Demand: Participate in the AI on Demand team, applying AI tools to projects within legal departments to produce initial drafts and desired outputs.
  • Operational Guidance: Collaborate with operations departments to guide their efforts, including advising on effective use of resources and brainstorming AI-driven enhancements to processes and work products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • AI/ML certifications or relevant coursework is preferred.
  • Experience in implementing legal practice technology within large law firms or in-house environments is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for professional use, including generative AI tools such as Harvey, Kira, CoCounsel, Copilot, and VLex.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • High interpersonal skills to facilitate professional communication in person, via email, and on the phone, demonstrating courtesy and diplomacy; strong facilitation and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to cultivate effective relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment, with strong troubleshooting, decision-making, and follow-through abilities.
