About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity to join a company that's shaping the future of space travel. You'll work closely with both internal teams and external customers, aligning your solutions with company objectives and user requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Develop Critical Systems: Build software systems that operate reliably 24/7, ensuring seamless automation and control of Apex Satellite buses.
- Support Commissioning and Operations: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commission spacecraft during launch and early operations, ensuring ground systems remain functional during critical operations.
- Owning Ground Software Solutions: Own ground software solutions through the full lifecycle from initial design to deployment.
- Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with internal teams and external customers to baseline product requirements and technical roadmaps.
- U.S. Person Status: Required for access to export-controlled data.
- Experience: 3+ years of total ground software experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or equivalent.
- Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and Rust.
- Microservices Frameworks: Familiarity with microservices frameworks and tools and cloud-based solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC).
- Operating Systems: Knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration.
- Distributed Systems: Experience with software integration, testing, and validation for real-time and distributed systems.
