Overview

The Construction Operations Leader is responsible for collaborating with Executive and Regional Leadership to support the formulation and execution of the strategic business plan. This role serves as a representative for the designated region on the Regional Leadership Team, ensuring the region's success by meeting SQP objectives and financial targets. The leader will guide Project Teams to fulfill project-specific objectives, contribute to the rollout of company-wide initiatives, foster employee development, and engage in regional business growth and planning. Additionally, this position emphasizes the importance of safety within the region by promoting the IIF culture.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Operations Leader must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas to effectively carry out their responsibilities in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. The areas outlined are meant to provide a general overview of the work performed by individuals in this role and are not exhaustive of all duties, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this position.

  • Formulates the designated business strategy
  • Guides Project Teams to accomplish project-specific objectives
  • Ensures the attainment of business objectives
  • Responsible for the profitability of projects and/or the assigned region
  • Manages and/or supervises personnel within the designated region
  • Oversees project and regional safety and risk management protocols
  • Establishes, nurtures, and sustains relationships with key clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • May collaborate with Pre-Construction and Business Development teams
  • Contributes insights to the selectivity process as recorded in the Commence database
  • Offers input on bid timelines, pre-construction planning tools, and reports
  • Enhances organizational effectiveness, leads assigned improvement initiatives, and partners with senior leadership to achieve SQP objectives

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and 15 years of experience in construction, or 20 years of construction-related experience with 10 years in construction business management.
