Cardiac Telemetry Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a skilled CNA to join our team as a Clinical Support Partner on our Cardiac Telemetry unit. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with heart-related conditions, including those who have had heart attacks, heart rhythm issues, or post-open heart surgery patients.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting patients with hygiene care, obtaining vital signs, and communicating effectively with the care team.
- Perform 12-lead EKG duties, wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection as directed by the RN or physician.
- Apply, check, and document restraints as directed by the RN or physician.
- Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges as directed and in compliance with safe patient handling principles.
- Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies.
- Perform the duties of unit secretary, including maintaining patient charts, responding to phone calls, and providing equipment care/cleaning.
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
- 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors. The successful candidate will be able to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and will be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
