Job Summary:

HigherEchelon is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Operations Manager to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED) team. This is a hybrid/remote opportunity that requires a strong background in engineering management and a proven track record of success in leading teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an engineering technical lead counterpart to the Operations Manager, providing guidance and direction to team members.
  • Coordinate monthly reports with project managers, arrange travel, and support the acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
  • Provide support for Navy Acquisition management, requiring a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DoD 5000 series.
  • Ability to work effectively with large and diverse teams, providing guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of contracted effort.
  • Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives.
  • Must be a US Citizen, with a minimum of an active Secret Clearance.

Education:

  • Business, Management, Technical, or Scientific BS or BA degree.
  • At least eight (8) years of recent and relevant professional engineering management experience.
