Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our Medical/Surgical team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and report patient data, including vital signs, height and weight, and food and fluid intake and output.
  • Participate in care planning and the nursing report process.
  • Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, oral care, and skin care.
  • Assist patients with eating and hydration, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Employ strategies to promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
  • Document all care in the patient record.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent - required
  • Less than 1 year experience in a healthcare setting or completion of certified nurse assistant course - preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology (Medium proficiency)
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently. The ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and colleagues is essential.
