Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Hamilton Health Associates Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our Occupational Therapists to develop and implement treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat residents with disorders or neurological deficits, weakness, and paralysis
  • Screen residents for treatment and complete necessary documentation
  • Attend facility meetings and in-services, including Medicare meetings and patient staffings
  • Develop programs to assist residents in achieving their highest feasible level of functioning
  • Assist the facility in meeting state, federal, and other certification standards
  • Employ and follow infection control policies and procedures, and respect OBRA Resident's Rights Guidelines
  • Schedule and complete in-services for facility staff education
Requirements
  • Completion of a 2-year Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • State licensure
  • Supervision: The COTA will report directly to the supervising Occupational Therapist
