Job Description

At Community Residences, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement individualized plans of care to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients.
  2. Provide direct care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
  3. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  4. Monitor and report any changes in client behavior, medical conditions, or other relevant information to the supervisor or program coordinator.
  5. Participate in training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in the field of human services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to transport clients as needed.

Working Hours: Friday - Monday, 2pm - 10pm
