Residential Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Instructor to join our team at Community Residences. As a Residential Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our clients, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to live independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Individualized Plans: Work with our interdisciplinary team to identify client needs and develop personalized plans to support their growth and development.
- Provide Direct Care and Support: Assist clients with daily living tasks, provide emotional support, and help them to develop essential life skills.
- Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly monitor client progress and report any changes or concerns to our supervisor or program coordinator.
- Administer Medication: Once certified, administer medication to clients at prescribed times, following agency policy and regulatory standards.
- Assist with Household Management: Participate in meal planning, preparation, and cleanup, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our residences.
- Transport Clients: Safely transport clients to appointments, outings, and other activities, following state laws and safety procedures.
- Participate in Training and Professional Development: Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and conferences to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in the field of Human Services.
- A valid CT driver's license and a good driving record.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to utilize personal vehicle to transport clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
