About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Transportation Safety Professional to join our team at Education Service Center Region 13. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, while also ensuring their safety and well-being on board.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a school bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to federal and state laws, as well as Navarro ISD policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Follow designated bus routes and navigate through various road conditions with caution.
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain order on the bus, adhering to district discipline policies.
  • Attend regular in-service training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety protocols.

 

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with a School Bus and Passenger endorsements.
  • A valid School Bus Driver Certification Card.
  • An acceptable driving record and fingerprinting/criminal history report.
