Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional medical care to our patients and delivering outstanding customer service to their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Provide excellent patient care, including restraint, laboratory sample collection, and medication administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other hospital staff to ensure seamless care and service
  • Participate in training and education programs to stay current on the latest veterinary techniques and treatments
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience working in a veterinary practice or animal care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software
