Job Overview

We are seeking skilled operators for our 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Shift Details:

2nd Shift: 3 PM - 11:30 PM

3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7:30 AM

Weekly alternating schedule: Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday.

Role Purpose:

The Plastic Injection Molding Technician is responsible for operating molding machinery to manufacture plastic injection molded components, performing necessary trimming, and packaging products directly at the machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute all assigned tasks to ensure the production of high-quality components.
  2. May need to operate multiple machines if staffing levels require.
  3. Provide breaks for fellow operators while managing semi- or fully-automatic machinery.
  4. Interpret and follow work instructions accurately.
  5. Uphold quality standards as defined by the job and report any discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor or Shift Supervisor.
  6. Identify, count, and document any rejected components.
  7. Trim components according to specified job requirements.
  8. Package products in accordance with job instructions.
  9. Label packaging correctly.
  10. Maintain production efficiency as per job expectations.
  11. Utilize necessary tools safely and appropriately.
  12. Safely operate grinders.
  13. Communicate material needs with the material handling team.
  14. Keep work areas and other shop locations clean and organized as required.

Educational Background and Experience:

  1. High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred, but not mandatory.
  2. Ability to comprehend English to follow instructions and undergo training (this requirement may be waived if translation is consistently available).

Physical Demands:

  1. Capability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  2. Must be able to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.

General Expectations:

  1. Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  2. Adhere to OSHA regulations; participate in compliance and training as necessary.
  3. Fulfill all job responsibilities and interdepartmental functions in alignment with ISO procedures; assist with ISO procedural updates and training as required.
