Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver Direct Support Professional to join our team at REM West Virginia. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home or clinic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and behavioral support.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote independence and growth.
  • Assist individuals with daily activities, such as meal preparation, laundry, and household chores.
  • Provide transportation and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
  • Collaborate with other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
