We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Tech to join our team at Forefront Dermatology. As a Mohs Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting our dermatology lab by accessioning specimens, preparing slide trays, and maintaining lab organization and maintenance.
Responsibilities- Process and prepare specimens for testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Prepare slide trays and maintain lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with lab organization and maintenance, adhering to quality control policies and procedures.
- Document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations, and maintenance performed.
- Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting of results.
- Adhere to compliance and complete required training.
- Associate's degree in a science-related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a lab environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of general medical terminology is preferred.
- Ability to type 45 wpm with minimal errors is preferred.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
